Afrobeats is fast gaining acceptance in the global music village. The journey started a long time ago. The contribution of the likes of Fela, 2face, P-square, D’banj, 9ice, Wizkid, Davido, Stonebwoy, R2Bees, Burna Boy, and a host of others cannot be sidelined. Even so, top African acts such as Wizkid and Burna Boy have continued to push the mother sound to break new frontiers. Burna Boy’s Grammy-award win is accreditation of that success.
