It is important to also note that your morning routines will not instantly become part of your habits if you are not consistent with them. Yes, it’s going to be difficult to keep up with these routines every day for the first few weeks but with consistency and discipline, in two to three months, you’ll find yourself doing these routines effortlessly.
Let’s help you develop a morning routine that works for you with these easy steps that are guaranteed to make you more productive. So, without further ado, here are the five easy steps!
WAKE UP EARLY
Waking up early gives you additional minutes to yourself to help you get ready for the day. Of course, this is after you must have completed the recommended 7-9 hours of sleep.
STRETCH YOUR BODY
It might seem like the most basic thing to do but people have underestimated the power of stretching and ignored it altogether.
Stretching helps to relieve your muscles from tension and gets you ready for the day. You can decide to stretch on your bed or get up and do a little workout; nothing too tedious to “awaken” those
HYDRATE
Begin your day with a glass of water to rehydrate your body after a night’s sleep. You can add a slice of lemon for flavor and also has health benefits. Drinking water in the morning also helps to boost your immune system and flushes toxins out of the body.
MEDITATE/PRAY
This will help you increase your focus, and improve your overall mental clarity. you do not necessarily need a meditation app; you can just sit down, close your eyes and listen to your breath for 10-20 minutes a day. Meditation also boosts your physical and mental health.
For those of us that believe in a spiritual being, you can say a quick prayer possibly after your meditation
BALANCED DIET FOR BREAKFAST
Include a well-balanced diet for breakfast that contains protein, fiber, and healthy fats. This will provide you with the energy you need to get your day started and keep you satisfied until your next meal. A saying goes “A hungry man is an angry man”. The same thing applies in its literal form; no one is excited when they are hungry and you cannot be sad and be productive at the same time.
If you follow these five simple steps (preferably in this order) you’ll find that your mornings will become more energetic and you will be ready for what the day has to offer.
Remember that the idea is to develop a routine that works for you and can be easily carried out. Begin with these suggestions first and overtime, you can add more creative methods as you discover what works for you and helps you have a productive and enjoyable day.
